Despite the fact that I love the winter months when you can go on a winter sport, this year is even a different story, I am still a fan of the summer. Waking up while already feeling the heat, those are the days I always look forward to. Depending on where you live in the world, this can often occur these days or you should be lucky that this is 3 weeks a year. One of the things that can really make me happy is jello. I’m not really into the candy, but got an email question about Jello. It is time to answer the following question in this knowledge base article: how long does it take for jello to set.

• 350 ml Fruit juice
• 60 ml Cool water
• 60 ml Hot water
• 21 grams gelatin
• Sugar / Honey / Stevia

To give a short answer jello is made of fruit juice, cool water, hot water and gelatin. Sugar, honey or stevia are optional.

How to make Jello

To make jello you need to follow a couple of steps. Below I have described the steps 6 steps. The 6 steps are:

1. Put the gelatin with 60 ml of cold water in a bowl. Stir the gelatin and cold water together.
2. Add 60 ml of hot water to the mixture and keep stirring.
3. Add 350 ml of Fruit Juice to the mixture.
4. Pour the mixture in a glass or other mold
5. Make sure to cover the jello before putting it into the refrigerator for 3 hours.
6. Take the jello out of the fridge, it’s ready to serve!

What is jello good for

The main ingredient of the most important ingredient of jello is gelatin. Gelatin is rich of protein and can help you with your daily protein intake. Another advantages is that gelatin doesn’t contain calories. Jello does contain calories because of the fruit juice and optional adding the sugar. Gelatin doesn’t have a taste, so to give the dessert a great taste you need to add other ingredients.

How long for Jello to set

I have already answered this in how to make jello. After making the Jello, place it in a container or glass. Then the dessert must cool in the refrigerator. It does take at least 3 hours for Jello to set. It really depends on the condition of your refrigerator. If you want to keep it in the fridge for more than three hours, that’s an option. It will not be bad for the jello. Make sure you don’t shorten the 3 hour time mark in the fridge.
