This cookies recipe is so easy. You need the follow ingredients: unsalted butter, salt, granulated sugar, wheat flour, almond flour, baking powder, eggs, milk and vanilla extract.
Make sure your butter is on room temperature. Add the 100 grams of unsalted butter to a mixing bowl. Mix the butter with a mixer, kitchen machine or a whisk. After mixing add two pinches of salt and 60 grams of sugar. Make sure that the sugar is incorporated with the butter by mixing it together.
The next step is to add 5 ml of vanilla extract and an egg. Mix everything together before you add the 100 grams of wheat flour and 120 grams of almond flour. The last step is to add 1 gram of baking powder. It’s time to mix everything for the last time together. When everything is mixed together, put the dough in a sealed bag and place it in the fridge for 40 minutes. You can also add some plastic foil on top of the bowl and put the bowl in the fridge.
Authentic Almond Cookies look
After 40 minutes divide the dough in 11 equal pieces. If you want more cookies you can divide the dough in more pieces. Create the authentic Almond Cookie look by 3 vertical stripes and 2 horizontal stripes with your fork. Brush the cookies with a combination of milk and egg yolk.
When you have done that, preheat the oven to 180 degrees celcius. Add the baking plate with the cookies to the oven.
