Everyone knows garlic bread. It’s also called garlic toast. You can buy a bread at the supermarket or bakery, but making homemade bread is so good! This snack consist of garlic, herbs, olive oil and Parmesan cheese.

Making this dish takes time, because the dough needs to rise. Once it has risen, you can put it in the oven and then it’s really just a matter of waiting. You can of course choose what else you do on it. I like the base the best as long as it has really good cheese and garlic on it. If you are crazy about garlic, you can of course choose to put more garlic on the bread.

Homemade Garlic Bread Recipe

This snack is easy to make. You need the follow ingredients: all-purpose flour, salt, instant yeast, water, granulated sugar, olive oil, garlic, parsley and Parmesan cheese.

The first step is to put 450 grams of all purpose flour and 5 grams of salt in a mixing bowl. The next step can be done in two ways. The first way is to put 250 ml of warm water, 5 grams of instant yeast, 5 grams of sugar and 25 ml of olive oil to a measuring cup. ix everything together and let it rest for 15 minutes. The other option is to add the olive oil after 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes you can add the mixture to the bowl with all-purpose flour. Mix everything well until it is a smooth dough. Let it rise for 1 hour. Place a damp tea towel over the mixing bowl. Place the dough on your workbench and carefully shape it into a round ball. Then take your rolling pin and roll out the dough into a round shape. Let it rest for 20 minutes. Place a damp tea towel over the dough.

Take a small bowl and add 50 ml of oil and 3 gloves of garlic. Mix everything together. Make the pattern in the dough. Spread the bread with the olive oil/garlic mixture. Then add 15 grams of finely chopped parsley and 20 grams of Parmesan cheese. Finally, add 4 grams of salt. Bake for 25 minutes (180°C). You can make a dipping sauce by mixing olive oil, parsley and Parmesan cheese in a small bowl. Enjoy!
