Caramel Milk Pudding Recipe
This pudding recipe is easy. You need the follow ingredients: unsalted butter, all purpose flour, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract and cornstarch.
The first thing you need to do 100 grams of unsalted butter in a sauce pan. Put the heat on low. When the butter is completely melted you can start adding the 120 grams of all purpose flour. Make sure to keep stirring the mixture. When you notice that the mixture will become smooth you start adding the 1 liter of milk. Make sure to add at least 3 portions. Between each portions you mix everything together. This will prevent you get lumps.
Also an important point: make sure your saucepan is large enough! When the milk is added you start adding the 80 grams of sugar and the 7 ml of vanilla extract. Mix everything together and you will notice that the mixture will become thicker.
When the mixture reach the right thickness, you need to rest it for at least 30 minutes in a bowl on room temperature. After the 30 minutes you transfer the bowl to the fridge for another 45 minutes.
It’s time to make the caramel syrup top layer. The first steps are the same as making caramel. You need to add 90 grams in a large pan, you can also use a saucepan. Mix in a small bowl 15 grams of cornstarch and 20 ml of water. When the sugar get’s the nice caramel color you add 10 ml of water. Keep on stirring. After this you add the mixture of cornstarch and water in the pan.
Keep on stirring and the syrup is ready in 2-3 minutes. Add the syrup to the bowl and make sure the syrup is evenly spread. Add the bowl for another 45 minutes in the fridge. After the 45 minutes you can enjoy this amazing dessert!
