In the past I made two other versions for a trifle. Trifles are so easy to make. You can see the different layers that can consist of cake, cookies, whipped cream and sauces. For this recipe I have used a number of ingredients you can buy at your local supermarket.

For the Stroopwafel cookies i’m not sure. These cookies are from the Netherlands, but are really popular in the United States. Otherwise there will be a store online where you can buy these. This dessert recipe is ready within 10 minutes. I can guarantee you that everyone will love this.

Stroopwafel Trifle Recipe

This dessert recipe is so easy. You need the follow ingredients: whipped cream (fresh cream), brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, mascarpone, Philadelphia cream, whipped cream stiffener, unsalted butter and water.

The first step is to add 300 ml of fresh cream to your kitchen machine. You can also use a mixing bowl with a hand mixer. Whip the cream until you get soft peaks.

The next step is to heat 100 ml of fresh cream over low heat in a saucepan. You need this to make your caramel sauce. To make the caramel sauce add 100 grams of granulated sugar and 45 ml of water to a frying pan.

You have at this point two options. The first option is to wait until the caramel is ready or just make another layer. Grab your mixing bowl and add 250 grams of mascarpone, 250 grams of Philadelphia cream cheese, 50 grams of brown caster sugar, 50 grams of granulated sugar and 6 ml of vanilla extract to a mixing bowl. Mix everything together. When everything is mixed together you add to this bowl the whipped cream and 8 grams of whipped cream stiffener to the mixing bowl. Mix everything together.

In the mean time your sugar is changing color. Stir everything well until you get a coppery color. Add the heated fresh cream and 50 grams of unsalted butter. Mix everything together.

Unpack a package with 2 stroopwafels and cut them in small pieces. Get a glass and add first a layer of stroopwafels. Then add a layer cream. Next add a layer of the caramel. Repeat this process until the glass is full. Finely add half a stroopwafel to the top.

How to make Stroopwafel Trifle
