An lemon mug cake recipe is very easy to make. You need a couple of ingredients:Â all purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, melted butter, vanilla extract, lemon juice and an egg. For the topping i use lemon zest.
The first thing you need to do is grab a large mug. If you only have small mugs, it’s not a problem but you need watch close that the that the cake does not go over the edge. When you have a good mug you can start with collecting the ingredients which you need. The measurement system I use is grams. Why? It’s easier to do with a digital scale and a lot of countries use this system. If you using cups, tbsp or tsp just use a calculation. It’s really easy. The first ingredients you want to add in the mug are the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt and lemon zest. Mix the ingredients together. The next thing is to add the wet ingredients. The lemon juice, vanilla extract, melted butter and the lemon zest. Use the lemon zest of half a lemon. Mix everything together.
Put the mug in the microwave for 1 minute on 1000 watt. After the minute feel the top of the mug. If that’s still a little bit wet, add another 10-15 seconds. After the 10-15 seconds you can add some lemon zest on top and your dessert is done! Enjoy your mug dessert!
