Chocolate Panna Cotta
Panna Cotta is a real dessert that originates from Northern Italy. The name actually means cooked cream. As the name suggests, the dessert consists of cream, but also sugar and gelatin. Depending on the recipe, milk can also be used and other flavors added. This includes vanilla, coffee or rum.
The panna cotta can hold its shape by gelatin. This is essential in this dessert. You can choose to use leaves or powder if available. My preference is always for gelatin leaves. With the dish you can serve berries, caramel, raspberry sauce or chocolate sauce. For this dish involving Chocolate Panna Cotta, whipped cream can be an addition.
