I’m not really a breakfast person myself. In the morning I usually drink a shake where I get a lot of protein and I also eat a banana. Everyone has their own morning rituals. Often I eat Scrambled Eggs in the morning, but now I usually move that to the afternoon. Today a breakfast recipe for which you need eggs. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at how to make Fluffy Souffle Eggs.
What is the definition of Fluffy Souffle Eggs
The meaning of Fluffy Souffle Eggs is:
”A breakfast dish whereby you mix the egg whites to a nice light foam. When baking the mixture together with the egg yolks, sugar and salt you get Fluffy Souffle Eggs! An really light texture with a good taste”.
Fluffy Souffle Eggs
You may have heard of Souffle Pancakes before. Highly recommended to try this. The idea is basically the same with this dish. When we use the word souffle, we mean a light texture. This can be for a cake, but also for a pancake or in this case eggs. The name soufflé comes from France, which is an important part of French cuisine. The meaning of the word is ”blown up”. An advantage with Souffle is that it can serve several dishes as a breakfast, main course or dessert.
Making a Soufflé sounds difficult. Of course it will fail a number of times, only the basics of making it will remain the same. What can go wrong, as you can see in the photo with the recipe at the bottom, is that the souffle collapses. This may be due to the whipping of the egg white. That should have been longer.
History Souffle Eggs
The history of the souffle eggs (omelette) was hard to find. Like any dish, there are stories from the inventor. This dish was created in 1888 by David Lebovitz. David worked in a restaurant in the North of France. Still, there is quite a bit of skepticism about this claim. The classic souffle had been around for a century. A recipe for a souffle omelette has also been found in 1742. In addition to eggs, sugar and veal kidneys were also used.
To make the Souffle Eggs you obviously need eggs. You separate the egg white from the yolk. Mix the egg yolk together. You also mix the egg white together, just beat this well until you have stiff peaks. By beating it well, air is added. This ensures the airy texture. Then it is a matter of patience. The eggs should have a nice color. Then you fold it in half and you have a high souffle omelette.

Fluffy Souffle Eggs Recipe
This Fluffy Souffle Omelette recipe is really easy. You need a couple of ingredients: Eggs, sugar and salt. I don’t use a topping but I recommend to make one. This gives the dish more flavor!
The first thing you need to do is separate the egg yolk from the egg whites. You need to do this with 2 eggs. When this is done, it’s time to mix the egg yolks with a little bit of salt. I recommend to use 1 or 2 grams. Depending if you like salt. You also can add a pinch and when the dish is done you can add more salt.
When the egg yolks are mixed together with the salt, the next step is to mix the egg whites until you get soft peaks. I used a whisk, but you can also use a kitchen machine. It will be more time saving. It’s really important that you get stiff peaks, that creates the fluffy texture. When you get the stiff peaks you add the egg yolks. Mix everything together with a spatula.
It’s time to put a baking pan on medium heat. Add a little bit of butter. Pour the mixture in. When you notice that the top isn’t that wet anymore, you fold the souffle egg in shape. Put one side on the other side. Bake the souffle eggs until they have a nice color on both sides. The next step is to add your topping and to enjoy your breakfast!
